Baul & Vaishnav Music Festival 2024
Curated by poet Ahmed Kaysher, the festival offers a series of ecstatic performances of Bengali Baul & Vaishnav music by number of Baul and Vaishnav music and dance, recitation from the ancient texts by leading spoken-word artists, brief discussion on these two major philosophical movement of Indian sub-continent that evolved from Hindu and Muslim (Sufi) faith and had hugely influenced the music, literature, arts of the whole sub-continent.

The session features hanunting music performances by Sufi Amir Muhammed, Juber Akhtar Suhel, Lalon singer Eltut Jannat, Beauty Shil with Yamin Chowdhury on Tabla and poetry-eading by Amy Neilson Smith, John Farndon, Sarwar E Alam and Shmim Shahan along with dance performance by Monirul Islam Mukul and Sewli Bhattacharyya.

The session at Keats House will feature hypnotic recital of spiritual Vaishnav music merging with spiritually inclined poetry and the idea of spirituality of a major English poet John Keats.
